Church, Auditorium and Monument



PRC Church

In 1929, P.R.C. church was designed and monitored a construction by Mr. Van Allen Harris, Rev. Dr. William Harris’s brother.  For this building, Ms. Ann Loverin donated $10,000 dollars, Mr. Thomas Harris Powers incorporated with many faithful people donated $22,000 dollars.


The ’92 Auditorium
While building the P.R.C. church, the ’92 Auditorium was also built for multi-purpose. For instances, it was used as a place for doing activities, holding meetings, presenting students’ performance and etc. This building was built by using the donation from Rev. Dr. William Harris’s Friends at the Princeton Theological Seminary. Mr. Walter and Mr. Van Ellian Harris were an architect and engineer for it.


Corner Stone Monument
The P.R.C Alumni Association was built this monument in the memory of the school foundation. Additionally, it is the keeping place of an inscription plate which king Rama VI conferred to the school on 2nd January, 1906.

 

Museum



Harris House
The Harris House was built in 1905. It is the first building of PRC, presenting as a wooden house with 2 floors in California style. The second floor was used as Rev. Dr. William Harris residence while the first floor was the school office. In 1989, it was damaged by fired. Consequently, the school committees decided to re-build it, following the same architectural design until it was done in 1993. Currently, it becomes the school museum and also uses as the offices for the PRC public relations and the vice director.

 

Administration



Grace Hall (Administration 1)
This school administrative building is a concrete adding iron structure with 3 floors which designed by Mr. Anuporn Indhabandhu. It consists of P.R.C. office for the school director, vice director in Management and Information Technology development, Administrative affairs, Personnel department, Registrar department, Bursar department and Accounting and Resourse department and meeting rooms. On 9th September, 1996, it had a ceremony of laying a cornerstone and started working on 9th August, 1997.


Administration 2
This building was established in the year of Gray building. It is used as the main administrative office until 1997 before the main administrative office was moved to the Grace Hall. It is 2 levels with concrete structure. Today, it can be seen as offices for a vice director for Academic Affairs, Accreditation and Personnel Development, a vice director for Students Affairs and Community Relations, the school Information and Communication Technology department and the other officers.

 

Library



Powers Hall
Powers Hall used to be a school cafeteria for PRC students, a place for holding a meeting or a party which was built in 1928. First, it was initiated by the 1st PRC Alumni Association team in the time of Rev. Dr. William Harris. It provided a campaign, asking for donation, both inside and outside Thailand. By this campaign, Mr. Thomas Harris Powers was the most significant person who donated a large amount of money. Therefore, this building was named in honor of him. This building was designed by an American architect, calling “California Hawaii style”. Particularly, her majesty the queen Sawang Wattana, of King RamaV went process to an open ceremony for this building on 5th January, 1929. 
It is a large hall without a middle pole which its capability to contain around 400 people. Currently, Powers Hall becomes a library for the primary school students.


Malamas Library
Malamas library denominated its name in accordance with Mr. Mwaok Chailungkarn’s pseudonym. It was started building on 1st April, 1992 and finished within 9 months. P.R.C. had an open ceremony for this building on 10th April, 1993. The library is a three-storey building, consisting of a study room, an audiovisual lab and a small meeting room. In an academic year 2541, Malamas building was chosen from the office of Private Education, Ministry of Education as the best library in an extra large secondary school level. This building has Mr. Anuporn Indhabhandhu as an architect.

 


Kindergarten



87 Years Building
This building was built in 1993 by using a location near P.R.C. football field. It is a concrete structure with 2 floors which uses as the school kindergarten level. Mr. Anuporn Indhabhandhu is an architect for the building.

 


Primary School




Neilson Hays
Neilson Hays was built in 1920 which Dr. Thomas Hayward Hays donated his money in memory of Mrs. Hays, his wife who passed away as well as the Neilson Hays library in Bangkok. In the past, it was used as a science building and the first northern medical school. Presently, it becomes PRC classrooms for a primary level.


Kennedy Hall
Kennedy Hall (Central hall) is California-Hawaii architecture, brick coated with concrete, 2 floors building. It was also built in the middle of two wooden buildings (northern building and southern building). It used to be a student dormitory which received mostly donation from the Kennedy’s who are like Rev. Dr. William Harris relatives. This building was designed by Rev. Reid and Mrs. McGilvary performed a ceremony of laying a cornerstone.




85 Years and 86 Years Buildings
85 years and 86 years buildings were built in 1991 and 1992 respectively. They use for primary student classrooms. Formerly, they had wooden structure called Northern building and Southern building. They were seen as a P.R.C. dormitory then, classrooms for primary students. Later on the school dismantled them and built 85 years and 86 years buildings instead as the Northern and Southern buildings were presented in ruined condition and were unable to support an increasing number of students. Right now, they are 3 floors with concrete structure, providing 12 classrooms for the students in primary level. Mr. Anuporn Indhabandhu is an architect.


90th Anniversary Building (Dr. Thomas Hayward Hays Memorial)This building is a concrete structure with 4 floors and 36 classrooms. It is primary student classrooms. Furthermore, it is built instead of a nursing building which was so ruined. In the time of Rev. Dr. William Harris was P.R.C. principal, the school got money from Dr. Thomas Hayward Hays foundation. Therefore, on the P.R.C. 90th anniversary occasion, the nursing building was dismantled and built the 90th anniversary building (Dr. Thomas Hayward Hays memorial) instead. Then the school named this building as 90th anniversary building (Dr. Thomas Hayward Hays memorial) for Dr. Thomas Hayward Hays remembrance. This building has Mr. Anuporn Indhabandhu as an architect.
   


K.E. Wells Building
The K.E. Wells building is a concrete adding iron structure with 4 floors. It uses as student classrooms and information technology labs which designed by Mr. Anuporn Indhabhandhu.

 


Secondary School





Butler and Harris Buildings
Butler and Harris Buildings were built at the same period after dismantling a former William Allen Butler Hall in 1948. In the time that Dr. Kenneth E. Wells was the school principal, he had a vision to support an increasing number of students after the end of World War II. They were started building on 2nd February, 1948. Moreover, Mr. Edwin Stanton, the United States Ambassador was a person who performed a ceremony for laying a cornerstone. The structures of both buildings are the same with 2 floors, concrete-building while their floors and ceilings cave with timbers. Besides, they were used as classroom buildings. Right now, the Butler building is used for the school band to practice and the name of this building was called in honor of Rev. Dr. William Harris’ mother family who donated money for the former William Allen Butler Hall. For Harris building which was named in honor of Rev. Dr. William Harris, becomes a classroom building for the secondary students.


The Sky-Blue Building
The Sky-Blue building was built in the time that Mr. Muak Chailankarn was a school principal. It was also designed by Prof. Aun Nimmanheamin which is used as a classroom building for secondary students. This building is a concrete with 2 floors. The 1st floor provides 6 classrooms and the secondary teachers’ lounge. Besides, the 2nd floor has 9 classrooms.


The Gray Building
The Gray building was built in the time that Mr. Muank Chailankarn was a school principal. It was designed by Prof. Aun Nimmanhemin with the purpose was support an increasing number of the high school students. Currently, it is a classroom building for secondary students. This building is a concrete with 2 floors. It has 9 classrooms, a big meeting room in the 2nd floor. The 1st floor provides 11ooms, classrooms and teachers’ lounge.


Rom-Klaow Building
Rom-Klaow building is P.R.C. science building, providing laboratory, meeting room, audiovisual lab and computer labs. It is also illustrated as a multi-purpose building. This building was built in the time that Dr. Jumroon Chailungkarn was P.R.C. principal, designed by Mr. Montip Preechanon with the donation from the Canton Christians, Ohio (700,000 baht) through the campaign of the Joseph L. Yoder’s. It had an open ceremony on 2nd January, 1979 by Milliliter Jirayu Noppawong, a privy councilor, as a royal representative. Nowadays, this building is used for secondary students with 3 student laboratories, 3 computer labs, the audiovisual lab and lecture room or meeting room which can contain 350 people all together.


Bejarat-Suwattana Building
Bejarat-Suwattana building was built in 1986 with 3 floors, 26 classrooms and many multi-purpose rooms. Prof. Aun Nimmanheamin is an architect. First, it was the building for a primary level. It had an open ceremony on 25th June, 1987 by HRH Princess Bejaratana and she conferred the name of the building “Bejarat-Suwattana”. Currently, it uses as a classroom for P.R.C students in high school level.


D.G. Collins Building
The D.G. Collins building’s structure is a concrete adding iron by Mr. Anuporn Indhabhandhu. This building has an objective to use for a high school students as their classrooms, laboratory, library, audiovisual labs and E-classroom of the building. In 2004, the construction of this building was done

 


Cafeteria



95 Years P.R.C. Cafeteria
This school cafeteria has 2 floors which the 1st floor is used for secondary school students’ cafeteria while the 2nd floor is a multi-purpose room especially doing students activity. Mr. Anuporn Indhabandhu is an architect.

 


Sport Facilities



P.R.C. Gymnasium 2000
P.R.C. Gymnasium 2000 is a physical education building which designed by Mr. Anuporn Indhabhandhu. On 29th September, 1998, it had a ceremony of laying a cornerstone and on 24th June, 2000, Rev. Dr. Boonrat Buayen, the president of the Foundation of the Church of Christ in Thailand, performed an open ceremony for this building.


P.R.C. Stadium
The P.R.C. Stadium’s construction was completed in 2002. After that it had an open ceremony which was performed by Dr. Jumroon Chailungkarn on 2nd June, 2002. This building was designed by Queensland Co.,ltd.
